Multiple Cameras/Channels Support and Synchronization

and corresponding software drivers offer a full support for multiple channels, multiple cameras synchronization. As a single unit, it has an ability to work as dual-base grabber, providing two fully independent acquisition channels, fed by two different cameras, each with its own triggers.

Alternatively, in high-speed medium and full configurations, SimLINK™ synchronizes together two independent streams from a single high-speed camera with the support from its dual-channel USB port, allowing this way up to a 700 MB/S USB data rate to the host.

Surely, SimLINK™ allows single USB cable for configuring where there is no need for high-speed or wide data to send. In this case the grabber works exact in the same way as any other standard USB device, requiring only a single USB 3 port to be employed on the host side.

Another important and common problem in machine vision applications is the necessity to synchronize multiple cameras, looking at the same material. It is crucial in this case to receive and process frames taken at the very same moment by each the camera. Otherwise, if there is a defect in the material, its parts will appear in different frames on the processing unit side (instead of appearing as a whole in a single frame).
The software that Crontium provides, fully deals with this situation: any number of cameras can be synchronized together over network or any other transportation layer. This way the scalability of your machine vision applications breaks any limits, remaining always in sync with the inspected material/object. Literally any lateral resolution can be achieved this way by a simple increase in the cameras count and use of Crontium grabbers and software.
